My Self-Publishing Packages include Book Cover Design, but you can also select it as a standalone service from just £195, including the spine, back (with blurb) and barcode. An additional eBook cover will be supplied at no extra charge. A matching social media banner to display on your Facebook or Twitter profile can also be provided for an additional £25.

Book Cover Design Packages
Here are the book cover design and illustration packages I offer.
Standard
Book Design Package
Ideal for: authors who already have an image for their cover but need a designer to add the essential elements, including inserting the title in an elegant typeface and getting it print-ready.
Price: £195
How it works
One of my designers will create a professional cover from a supplied or stock image. If you don’t have an image in mind, I recommend the image libraries Shutterstock and iStock, which stock thousands of photographs and illustrations that you can license for a small fee.
Standard Plus
Book Design Package
Ideal for: authors who don’t have a firm vision for their cover and would like three ideas to choose from.
Price: £275
How it works
First, we’ll discuss some ideas for your cover based on your book’s genre and subject matter. Then we’ll select some potential cover images from either Shutterstock or iStock, which the designer will use to mock-up three potential covers for you to choose from. Design elements can be mixed and matched. For instance, you might like the typeface from one mock-up but prefer the image from another.
Bespoke
Book Design Package
Ideal for: authors who have a specific image in mind for their cover (either provided or from an image library) but require digital image editing to make it unique to their book.
Price: £295
How it works
You’ll supply an image, which might be an illustration, photograph or artwork, and provide a brief explanation on how you would like it edited for your book cover. A designer will then implement the changes and provide up to three cover mock-ups displaying different typefaces for you to choose from. To give you an example, one of my talented designers created a cover from a photograph an author supplied of a five-barred gate on a stony track. To get it cover ready, and to hint at some of the novel’s themes, she transformed the image by surrounding it in swirling mist and rain. (Please note, you must own the copyright for the image supplied.)
Bespoke Plus (Book Cover Illustration)
Book Design & Illustration Package
Ideal for: authors who would like a professional illustrator to create a beautiful, unique cover from scratch.
Price: from £585
How it works
Working from a written brief detailing your vision for the cover, my talented illustrator and designer Rachel will create at least one draft sketch for you to approve (depending on your requirements). Based on your feedback, she will then create the full colour cover, including the relevant information (title, author’s name, subtitle). Rachel is perfectly placed for book cover illustration as she has enjoyed a long career in graphic design for national magazines. In 2019, she fulfilled her lifetime ambition to gain a BA (Hons) in Illustration from the University of East London. All her ideas begin with a detailed pencil sketch, which she develops digitally for the final artwork. Rachel is also available for full book illustration. Get in touch to find out more.
